No need to get fancy, like detecting if they are forged or only when configured P2P apps are running.
I just want all of those reset packets to disappear before the stack sees them and closes the connection.
With that in place ISPs like Comcast will have to find other, less illegal ways to interfere with our internets.

were rly a good feature, when u could block some machine/user/whatever over his provider ID
to explain, i use peer block for a game server, which is nearly impossible to get
cheat safe. so i need a good method to block someone. ip is good for some ppl
who dont have dyn dns but when they have a changing ip u need to block
these too till some of both get tired :)

dont know. maybe its not possible cause cant find anything who makes something like this
but i think this feature when its possible could be good for peerblock

For example:

I would like to allow all of Canada ip addresses and block antip2p addresses except Canadian ones. if the compiled/generated list were to put Canadian ip's first, and then the antip2p ip's next, the condition should be to allow the request and ignore subsequent entries.
Conversely, if i had the antip2p list first, then the Canada list second, it would block the request and ignore the other entries.

I'd like to use peerblock as a proxy for incomming requests and have it use a proxy for outgoing requests.

example

p2pclient ------localhost:8080 socks5 -------------- listen socks5 localhost:8080 peerblock outgoing:8050 ------- outgoing socks5 localhost:8050 to cloud proxy

This would be a nice feature eventhough it's not going to do anything for me if I'm useing a good anonomyous proxy I like to chain things together as much as I can. With this peerblock could be one of the cloud proxies.

So I guess I want a proxy with ip blocking that can use peerblock's ip lists

I don't know if this is possible to implement, but it would be very helpful.

To be able to select which list(s) are enabled for HTTP blocking independent of blocking on other ports. For example, it would be nice to only block ad and malware IPs for HTTP and not block P2P IPs for HTTP, while still blocking them on other ports. That way you could still browse to say www.utorrent.com even though it is still being blocked as a part of the P2P blocklist for P2P apps, without having to constantly allow HTTP for temporary access to such sites, which leaves me albeit temporarily vulnerable to malware IPs via web traffic.

Sorry I have made this sound more convoluted than it is. The end result would be a greatly enhanced user experience of requiring less time spent going to the app to allow HTTP access.

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi,

it would be great if you can add the application name (appname.exe) whose connection request is blocked. when you list down Time, Range, Source, Destination, Protocol and Action, you can also include the appname with this so that the end user would know which app is trying to connect to the forbidden IP.

hope this would be implemented.

1) Ability to search an ip, range, etc in the logs
2) Ability to right click on the log of blocked ips to see which list is blocking that IP.
3) Allow/block button directly on the list manager for each list... so you don't have to double click on each one.
4) Separate tab to manage any individual ips which you personally allowed or blocked from the lists for whatever reason (ie: a firewalls advanced options)
5) Ability to see a more detailed description that auto updates from iblocklist so the list creator can modify it on the fly.
6) Username and Pass for Proxy

These are really great easy to implement ideas please consider them

I have seen this feature in many similiar software. However, because PeerBlock has a completely unique feature, I would like to see this single feature added as I am quickly turning into a fan.

Here's what I want, specifically:
- I want to block every IP and manually choose which 'process' I want to exclude.

Although, PeerBlock is able to prevent any unauthorized connection into the computer, it lacks the ability to handle processes. I end up having to unblock every IP that is generated by an 'online video game.' It is an irritating job.

History Export - Add "Unique IP Addresses Only" Check Box? (no replies)

Hello,

Can you please add a check box to the history export of "Unique IP Addresses Only" ?

This would create the export txt file as a sorted list of unique IP Addresses, and only the IP Addresses.

At the moment I having to do this manually by hand via:
"sort.exe" -t . -k 1,1n -k 2,2n -k 3,3n -k 4,4n "UnSortedList.txt" | "uniq.exe" > "SortedList.txt"

Basically I have just been coping the IP Addresses right off the main screen into UnSortedList.txt and then run the command above so it creates the sorted list for me.

But of course I'm only getting a very small subset of addresses this way.

So only way to get an accurate list of Blocked IP Addresses is if PeerBlock creates the list for me.

Example UnSortedList.txt:
202.106.74.224

Hi there, would it be possible to add a regenerate cache list button, for when I update my spammers list that I maintain.

This is because the spammers don't get the hint that they are blocked and constantly try to access the servers, and whilst I can get the cache to regenerate by unticking the list in the list manager and closing the list manager box followed by reopening the list manager and re-ticking the box, it would be nice to just regenerate via a single click somewhere.

Hi Guys
Thanks for all your great work. However, I do have a few queries.

Question 1: Does the block IP permanently feature on the right click context menu block for all ports if http is allowed? eg., if DINSA (Ministry of Defence IP: 38.117.98.202) is permanently blocked in the permanently block IP option (in the permanent blocked list: permblock.p2b), it only shows as being blocked when http is blocked (allow http off). It appears, and I do say appears, that it is not blocked when http is allowed, well at least it is not showing up as blocked. Does a permanently block mean across all port ranges? Is it possible to clarify this issue please? I would like your input on this one.
If there is an issue here, may be a permanent block could be an option to block on all ports, just http ports or both????? Frankly on DINSA, I would like the ability block their arses on all port ranges!! Moreover, this would go for Dept of Defence (DofD) Information Centre: 216.34.181.96 as well... :)

Question 2: What http ports are blocked? eg., 80, 3128, 8080, 443?. Certainly I have seen port 80 and 443 blocked when allow http is off, but are there any others? May we could have an option if they are the only ones to be be blocked, and I am assuming that is the case (as it may well not be) to have an option to block others as specified by the user? Again would like any input on this one.

Thanks in advance

r320 is quite stable

Cheers
