How to save my configurations
July 07, 2011 09:10AM
Hi,

I need to allow specific IPs because there are no lists for them. Until now, Dropbox and Security Essentials update. So, I keep clicking on them, when they appear and Allow IPs permanently. Now I'm worried about when I format my harddrive. I want to save all those custom specifications. Where are them? Since I'm not putting the IPs in a private allow list, just allowing them from the interface, I don't know what happen to them. Please advise.

The lists (both block and allow) and the configuration file of PeerBlock are stored in the PeerBlock folder. By default that's C:\Program files\PeerBlock . If you're going to reformat, you need to save at least the allow list if you wish to use it after formatting. I'd save peerblock.conf as well, so you don't have to do anything but update the lists when you start PeerBlock after formatting.

If there are any more questions, feel free to ask.
