Why is FBI.gov on the allow list
May 29, 2012 06:41AM
i was just checking all the hoopla about the July 6Th black out thing . and realised the i could access FBI.gov .

now it makes me wonder , am i already infected or does peer block actually not block the FBI ( which would be quite Dumb )

As far as i know peer block diligently blocks all Government IPs .. when why is FBI the exception ?

Sorry i forgot also that :

"As far as i know peer block diligently blocks all Government IPs .. "

It's wrong . Peerblock blocks only what the blocklist loaded into it tells to block .

They changed their host range .

That could be a possibility.

Basically what Spartan23 said, but I'll go into more detail.

PeerBlock basically blocks/allows what you tell it. You need to find some lists the FBI are in and set them as block.

You can search here [www.iblocklist.com] and at the right corner find whatever lists the FBI are in and apply them as block list.

and now they are elsewhere , that range will be blocked in next coming version of ipfilterX .
