Edit allow permanently list
November 08, 2012 03:08AM
I clicked by mistake Allow IP_ADDRESS permanently (in the scrolling list of the latest blocked items on the Protection tab).

1. Is there a way to remove that exception? I assume the IP is now removed from the current protection and there's now a filter on the list fetcher which won't allow the same IP to be blocked again (which is likely still on the remote list).
2. Is there a way to:
   a. Have a confirmation dialog when attempting to permanently allow an IP?
   b. Completely remover the permanently allow option? For the foreseeable future, I won't intentionally allow an IP permanently.

Thank you kindly

I didn't see permallow.p2b but I was looking at the Default Lists as there was nothing else. I then thought I may have been mistaken thinking I clicked Allow IP_ADDRESS permanently while something else happenned (maybe I clicked really close outside of it).

To test I made sure to do it properly on an IP not-so-threatening. A list did apprear in the lister (a list of a list ; between defaults & buttons). It was permallow.p2b as shown in the attached image ; I deleted it altogether.

Thanks

Then it was an allow list not a blocklist type , yes you must edit the list type in List Manager ,
select the list where that IP was allowed then click Edit and check [block] list type ,
again go to that IP and the option will be the reversal .
