Auto Refresh Every X minutes?
April 20, 2011 10:17AM
Hey,

I want to use a PHP script to add new IP bans to a blacklist but Peerblock needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
Is there any way to make Peerblock reload the blacklist every few minutes or each hour?

Note: It can load the blacklist locally or through an URL.

Thanks!

Yes - [forums.peerblock.com]

Edit, Not sure if you can get it to only work on local lists, from my understanding of the code applies to all lists.

Any clue where I put this? Because as far as I know this is not PHP.

Thanks

I'm willing to contribute a donation to Peerblock if anyone is going to help me out with this...

That needs to be put in some c/c++ code and compiled into a separate exe.

You can then run the exe from php using exec. [php.net]

If you don't have a c/c++ compiler, you could try and use vbscript instead.

Would you mind to make a compiled .exe of it for me?
It's easy for you to say to compile it,etc. but I have no clue how to do such thing, I only got experience with Web Development.

Thanks.

Any "button-pusher" script should be able to get the desired result(s). I really like AutoIt [which is free, easy to use, and includes a macro recorder that makes setting up the code fairly simple] but I assume that the Windows scripting languages [VBS or equivalent] would do almost as well.

FWIW I don't see how PHP could be used in this situation.
