Need help in listing PID
December 09, 2011 07:22AM
I'd like to know how to find the PID of previous (not necessarily current) connections. Netstat doesn't appear to have an history function, and while PeerBlock does have a connection history it does not list the PID.

I need this to help me in diagnosing an obscure problem which may be related to PeerBlock. I am trying to determine if there is a correlation between certain network activity on a certain port and a glitch in another program.

I'm on Windows 7.

Thanks.

Perhaps one of these two programs would work for you:

"CurrPorts" (by Nirsoft). It has a logs option. The PID in the log is not displayed by default but has to be set in the "Advanced Options".

Also "Moo0 ConnectionWatcher" which has perhaps a better looking layout and shows more data (duration of connections and amount of traffic data) uses a log but, it seems, only for up to 3000 entries.

Both programs require no installation.
