Peer block blocking Flash Video?
June 15, 2012 03:43PM
[Windows 7][PB 1.1][Flash video broke]

I'm no too sure what happened here. I've installed PB on many pcs without this issue occurring...
But I told a Friend to install it on his win 7 box and this is what happened:
Prior to installing PB he was able to stream from youtube etc etc.
After instillation he was not able to watch embedded flash anymore. On youtube the video page would load but when he pressed play it just said error has occurred. So he uninstalled flash and re installed the latest version, restarted pc.
But still the same issue occurred. He didn't know about "allow http" so he just uninstalled peer block completely.
Even after he uninstalled it, and restarted pc again no flash video would play.

(Although I never experienced this exact issue myself, I have noticed that 1 particular streaming site will not load videos for me, when peerblock is running, even though I have http allowed)

Well if PB is blocking a website it shows you the ip blocked ,
so paste it here and we shall check if it's , as it should , a false positive one .

If the site is in one of your blocklists, it is blocked. The general "Allow HTTP" button will not override that.
The relevant range(s) will be shown in the Protection panel while the site is actively being blocked; add each range to the PermAllow list (or look around for an allow list of all needed ranges assembled by some user/fan).
