Hello all smiling smiley

I was talking with someone recently (who I suspect has good technical knowledge) and wanted to ask if an assertion of his was true:

Even if you use Peerblock you are still visible to blocked IPs on the trackers themselves.

I don't know much about torrenting, but this makes sense because the tracker will have you on a list as accepting connections... and people could potentially see you on this list (by 'people' I mean those people who don't like you) even though when they try to connect to you they can't.

Is this true? Is being on such a list in itself illegal?

If you are blocking an IP as a machine that is trying to connect with your you are not exchanging bytes , anything , even handshaking , so it will be hard to prove wherever that you downloaded from that machine and viceversa .
