The club I play bridge at is blocked by PB. I ran the problem by them and received the following reply:

We don't use a static address for the club - it changes with every new release.

for example the current address is:

Hopefully you can enter a wildcard:

[bridge.bridgeclublive.com]* or suchlike

Is this possible?

I'm afraid it's not possible to allow an address in any other form but IP. I'd usually suggest asking the people who made the list(s) you use to allow the IP but if it changes, you'll probably just have to either completely allow HTTP or just allow it IP by IP every time.

Sorry to have to tell you the bad news.

Thanks for replying. I found out that I could allow all HTTP's but doesn't that defeat the object?

The real question should be , why that IP range is blocked ?
Certainly a false positive .

Hi Spartan 23.

As you have probably already guessed I am new to PeerBlock and have limited PC knowledge. I have no idea why the range should be blocked nor how to request that it be unblocked. From what I gather the best solution is to either disable PB or allow all HTTP's when playing bridge but either seems to leave my PC unprotected.

Anything that's blocked or not depends on the blocklist used .
It is like medicines to cure a disease , some of them work properly , others not .
