I have a similar startup error message:

"Driver Error

PeerBlock is unable to load the packet filtering driver.
This is likely the result of some strange bug. Please report this error,
including all information that follows, to the PeerBlock team at
[forums.peerblock.com] Thank you for helping us improve PeerBlock!

class win32_error
SearchPath
2
The system cannot find the file specified."

The below came up as a search result for this startup error (with nonrelevant parts edited "..."):

"Here are all the changes that have gone into PeerBlock 1.1 (r518) since 1.0 (r181) was released.

Major Changes

Minor Changes

These changes should impact you less than the previously-mentioned ones, but are still things that have gone in recently in case you're interested.

• Fix for "StartService, 2, file not found" Error - Some XP users have experienced problems getting PeerBlock to start, in which PeerBlock would complain that it can't load the packet filtering driver, with the aforementioned error information. This should be resolved now. If not, please let us know!

Complete uninstallation and removal, then reinstalling with freshly downloaded installer does not correct this.

I have PeerBlock 1.1_r_518
Windows XP Media Center Edition version 2002 SP 3 (build 2600) version of XP Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 CPU @ 2.00 GHz, 2.00 GB RAM.

I recently cleaned up a Trojan virus infection that suppressed avast! antivirus and Malwarebytes Pro.
It removed ntfsdata.dll, needed by IObit Advanced System Care 5 Pro (has built-in malware fighter).

Thanks for your attention,
