Heya BeerPlock.

Have you tried the latest beta installer (the .exe file)?

[peerblock.googlecode.com]

Also check the Event Viewer in the Control Panel for "Bdisk" error messages... I think the hard disk might be failing.

"The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid" means the disk volume could be corrupt.

This business is binary. You're either a one or a zero.

Sounds like a corrupt peerblock.conf file - deleting this file and restarting PeerBlock should fix it.  The latest Beta includes some code to help work around a corrupt peerblock.conf, by saving the "last known-good" one and using that if it has problems reading your current one . . . but this won't help if your pre-r277 peerblock.conf got corrupted.

As to how that peerblock.conf file got corrupted, I have no idea.  It could be that the hard drive is indeed going bad, or it could have been some other weird thing.  Wouldn't hurt to run through some low-level disk-analysis tools...
