Http site being blocked but computer freezes while under attack

Posted by Anonymous User
Recently noticed computer freezes while peerblock stops a particular http address. Problem is that this interupts anything I do as it is happening frequently. How do I stop a particular http address from attacking my computer?

Heya db0404.

I'm not sure what do you mean by http address attacking you. Do you mean that some IP address keeps connecting to you or is your computer constantly attempting to connect to a certain IP address?

If it's your computer connecting to the internet, then you may have a malware or some other application attempting to connect to the internet without your consent. But if it's about IP addresses connecting to you then I'm afraid the only option to prevent them from being in touch with your computer would be setting the router to discard packets rather than transmitting it.
Thanks for that! It's an ITP address trying to connect to my computer and is a real pain. Sounds like it will be pain to get rid of too!
