My icon stays blue even when Allow http is selected? Cannot get it to change to yellow? Also being bombarded by ValueClick Corporation and cannot use any google sites if http is blocked.. anyone?

ValueClick is ads from websites. Check which lists are loaded, they could be blocking Google.

Which release are you using? R181 or the latest Beta?

This business is binary. You're either a one or a zero.

For God's sake, one pointless thread about ValueClick is enough.

For the icon color, open your peerblock.conf with your text editor and find this line:
"<WarningIconForHttpAllow>X</WarningIconForHttpAllow>", the X is either "yes" or "no". Having it as "yes" should enable the icon color to change to yellow.

You may need the latest beta for the yello HTTP icon otherwise it will probably still stay blue in the stable version.

Thanks for the reply zerocoolxp, in an effort to resolve this valueclick crap I switched versions from the beta r404 to the stable version 1.0 r181 which made no difference, I think the change to the stable version lost the icon color change option because I found it doesn't work on the other network computers either all running the r181 version. I think it's just going to be easier to just allow http than to try to find valueclick in the lists. I do appreciate your response. It seems I am starting to annoy some users (fxm) by my pursuit to find an answer to the valueclick problem. I guess he/she doesn't know the answer either? smiling smiley

Thanks for the input Tippy, I checked the file and did not even find the line? Even using the find feature of the text editor, so I tried putting the line in myself which unfortunately did not work, I did close and reopen PB to maybe incorporate the new line to no avail. But thanks for the effort. I think I will just allow http when necessary rather than try to edit the block lists.

As night_stalker_z mentioned, that feature was only available to the latest Beta. I wouldn't know what would be the cause on your stable to make it not change color when allowing HTTP.

I agree, the stable version on the other network computers doesn't change colors either. Thanks.
