Windows Hooking

1:31:16 PM Block PEERBLOCK.EXE Window hooking c:\windows\system32\msctf.dll

Hello. I'm new here but not new myself.... I use same id name on all forums.

With PB V1 and a windows 7 64 bit system I got the above message from my FW SW. OP FW Pro 7.0.

What I did with the popup was deny it and PB continued on it's merry way.

So on the surface, it seems PB V1 requests hooking but doesn't need it.

Please advise.

Hm, strange, msctf.dll appears to be related to Microsoft's "Office XP Alternative User Input" feature or something.  No idea why we would be reported as "hooking" it, as I'm not aware of anything we're doing that would make use of it.  Very strange.

Sorry I can't be of more help,
