I'm using 1.0+ r484. Only Accidently i read about 1.1 stable!

My beta Peerblock still says "None available" during PeerBlock version check on Auto-Update....

Yes, but isn't the "expected" behavior a bit silly?
It is reasonable for "stable" to announce only "stable" but wouldn't it make more sense for "beta" to announce whatever is most recent (beta or stable)?

I, for one, had no idea that there was a "stable" newer than my current beta [until the flurry of related problem reports started appearing here].

To me, it doesn't seem that stupid.

It's like the Chrome builds. The user can choose stable, beta, dev or canary and each one will only update to their respective releases.

But that's just my opinion.

Why should anybody use a beta, if a newer stable is out? its just absolutely pointless.

Usually Auto-Update has a "opt-in" for beta, but i never heard of a "forced-out" for stable grinning smiley
