Hi folks, since my system couldn't handle it: does anyone has a compiled 64 bit version (nightly)?

Another thing: Why donÄt you provide a, let's say, nightly version?

Nightly builds can be unstable, so that is part of the reason as to why they are not officially provided, we rather have everyone using a stable copy (Like 1.1 for example), than running a untested/unsupported/might not work nightly build.

Another reason is the required signed driver on Vista/7 64bit (you can get around this by booting into "driver testing mode")

Nightly builds do not follow the stable or beta update channel, so if a new stable or beta version was released, the nightly build would not know (when peerblock checks for updates on startup).

On a side note, if you are on 64bit, your system can most likely handle VS2008/VS2010 and compile PeerBlock from source (unless you are really really low, say ~5GB of free space).

imho releasing nightly builds could be useful to help in test and bug reports.

How far away is the beta release of the new Peerblock 2.0?

no idea, but the last build according to Google code is from "June 3, 2012" [code.google.com]

and is still 1.1 version, just revision is r620
