Exporting a Full copy of ALL my lists to a backup file
November 19, 2010 08:18AM
I like the new Peerblock and use 1.0+ (r484) - BETA RELEASE version BUT ...
You Can't pull up "List Manager" and hold down Ctrl key and select ALL the lists anymore (to export) since the "Default Lists" are not selectable anymore, for export as file, as they were in Peerguardian. I liked that feature of peer guardian Very much, I have Peerguardian on another drive and can boot on that drive and run pg, update, and select all my lists in "List Manager" and export as a p2p file using the date like 11-19-2010.p2p
I then put a copy in my docs folder and load it as a backup list so if update fails, i will always have that list loaded.
Can someone suggest that they make the "Default Lists" selectable for export??? Thanx

I have discovered that in the List Manager of Peerblock version v1.1_r518 under windows 7 (but not in Xp),
you can add the default lists into the bottom area as duplicate lists.

Peerblock tries to get you not to do that but gives an option to add as a duplicate list by clicking the "no" button.

After adding as a duplicate list (in the bottom part of list manager),
i uncheck the corresponding default list check box above.

NOW ALL LISTS ARE SELECTABLE FOR EXPORT to a single backup file.

You can hold down ctrl and click on each list individually till all lists are selected.
(it won't allow "ctrl + a" to select all)
then right click on them and export as the date like 01-12-2010.p2p
this list can then be added as a backup list in case updating fails.
