Ability to export program settings and list url's to file...

Ability to export program settings and block or allow list url's to file
so i dont have to manually set up peerblock on the different machines i work on.

List Manager should check for duplicates and make a clean list.
(see [forums.peerblock.com] for more info)
We need something like bluetack's blocklist manager to build clean lists (remove dups and invalid entries)
or tweaks to Peerblock that will make a separate program like this unnecessary.

Remove the Defaults list Block at the top of List Manager and re add those url's
for the defaults (psp, spyware, advertising, and education) with the word "Recommended" beside them,
making them selectable (again) for export to a backup .p2p file
(see [forums.peerblock.com] for more info on this. )

When right clicking on a blocked ip and selecting "Allow Permanently" , it should Que these requests up
either in a separate popup window or by turning them a different background color. then click something to
"apply" and it will only have to cache once. this might help us isolate and remove blocked ip's for specific programs
that use different multiple ip's we need to allow without re cache-ing for each one separately.

THANX FOR A GREAT PROGRAM AND ALL YOUR WORK.
Peerblock is awsome and
iblocklist is awsome

makes me want to learn to code this stuff myself !!

WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A WAY TO IMPORT THESE SETTINGS AND URL'S from the settings backup file
on new Peerblock installations too.

Hey Mate,

Wow it's been a long time since posting on these forums! smiling smiley i plan to be here a bit more over then next few months.

to copy settings/lists/etc over;

1. install PB on each machine,
2. replace the "peerblock" folder on each machine with one that has been set up correctly on one machine.

make sure you close PB before changing/copying this folder!

the "generating list cache" process optimizes the lists, and removes dupes etc.

it doesn't however allow auto searching for dupes (and display them), or editing a list that is to be updated.

if you want to edit the lists, you'll need to add the list as a "file" not a "URL".

We don't actually recommend any lists - people's uses vary considerably for this software - these lists are just common ones. that's a big part of the reason we moved them up the top, so less knowledgeable users could easily find them.

they have the exact same functionality as lists in the normal box.

i agree with the generation of the list cache. see here:

[code.google.com]

perhaps "star" the issue...

Cheers!
